簡介

飲酒是增加慢性病風險的一個因素。本研究估測了加拿大2002年酒精導致的慢性病過早發病和死亡的多種指示標誌。

方法


從加拿大統計局（Statistics Canada）以及加拿大保健資訊研究所（Canadian Institute for Health Information）資料庫獲得了死亡和發病的資訊。飲酒的資料是從「加拿大癖癮調查」（Canadian Addiction Survey）處獲取並進行了人均消耗量加權。從發表的文獻中摘錄了風險資訊，並與酒類消耗資訊相結合，以計算出年齡和性別特異性酒精導致的慢性病發病率和死亡率。

結果

2002年，加拿大69歲及以下的成年人中，有1631例慢性病死亡是由飲酒引起的（2.4%）。死亡的淨數目是由2577例飲酒造成的死亡和947例飲酒避免的死亡組成。中度飲酒與25%酒精造成的死亡和85%酒精避免的死亡有關。2002年，飲酒使加拿大過早損失了42,996年的生命，其中28,890年是男性，14,106年是女性。2002年，加拿大69歲及以下的人中，有91,970次飲酒造成的慢性病收治入院淨數目。收治入院的淨數目是由124,621次飲酒造成的入院和32,651次飲酒避免的入院組成。

結論


由於飲酒比率的升高以及飲酒帶來的巨大風險，預計酒精引起的慢性和急性損害都將增加。需要關注以下方面：1）建立有效的政策和干預措施；2）控制獲取酒精的途徑；3）降低高風險的飲酒以及4）爲高風險飲酒者提供簡短的干預措施。
