This flow chart shows how the third part of the COMPURSE program, the user interface, allows the user to define the time period for multiple-year summaries, to supply the normal deviate corresponding to the significance level for the CIs, to choose units for expressing the rate and the number of hospital discharges, and to provide other parts of the program with the location of files and the type of data input and output.
