Prevention 92 Conference:
Linking Science, Policy, and Practice
CDC and 22 other national health agencies will cosponsor the
ninth annual national preventive medicine meeting, "Prevention 92,"
in Baltimore on March 21-24. The themes are health issues in the
workplace, competing agendas in prevention education, developments
in clinical preventive medicine, and issues in public health.
Sessions will include cardiovascular risk factors, clinical
practice guidelines, the behavioral science bases of prevention,
health-benefit plans, prevention of acquired immunodeficiency
syndrome at the worksite, advances in immunizations, infant
mortality, childhood lead poisoning, injury and violence, and
infectious disease updates.
The conference is managed by the American College of
Preventive Medicine and the Association of Teachers of Preventive
