Report on Impairments Caused by Injuries
CDC's National Center for Health Statistics has released data
on the prevalence of impairments caused by injuries. Statistics on
the number and rate of impairments from injuries by class of
accident and place of accident are included. Data on limitation of
activity, restricted-activity days, and disability restricting a
person to bed more than half a day are also presented in the
report.
Statistics in the report are based on data collected through
the National Health Interview Survey in 1985, 1986, and 1987.
