Publication on the Characteristics of Persons
With and Without Health-Care Coverage
CDC's National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS) has
released a report that provides statistics on the more than 33
million Americans lacking health-care coverage. Data on persons
with and without coverage and by type of coverage (i.e., private
health insurance, Medicare, public assistance, and
military/Veterans' Administration health-care coverage) are
reported by age, sex, race, and region.
