Prevention and Control
The Second National Conference on Chronic Disease Prevention
and
Control, cosponsored by the Association of State and Territorial
Health Officials and CDC, will be held September 16-18, 1987, at
St.
Anthony Intercontinental Hotel in San Antonio, Texas. Registration
and
a reception are scheduled for Tuesday evening, September 15. The
theme
of the conference, "Working Together--Players and Priorities," is
designed to highlight the diversity of individuals and groups
working
in the chronic disease arena and to identify opportunities for
creative collaboration among the various contributors.
Representatives of Federal, state, territorial, and local
health
agencies; voluntary health organizations; schools of public health;
the private health care community; and others are invited to
