Over a period of around 7 months, and through email correspondence, ICEIInG developed the draft report with its two appendices for discussion at the Washington ICE meeting on 2nd and 3rd April 2001. A synopsis of this report was presented during the first morning of the meeting, and was subsequently discussed during two workshop sessions during the first day of the meeting. The outcome of those discussions was presented to the full meeting on day two for further discussion. There was general agreement within the meeting for the direction the Injury Indicator Group was taking, specifically for the aim, objectives, scope, and for almost all of the criteria for identifying an optimal indicator. Further work this year will provide a more solid justification for the criteria and will illustrate the application of the criteria to commonly used indicator or indicators. The initial goal is to present these findings at the 6th World Conference on Injury Prevention and Control to be held in Montreal in May 2002.For further details, please contact:Colin CryerSenior Research FellowCHSS at Tunbridge WellsUniversity of Kent, Oak LodgeDavid Salomons’ Estate,Broomhill RoadTunbridge Wells, Kent, TN3 0TG, EnglandPh: -1892-515153Fax: -1892-535879Email: P.C.Cryer@ukc.ac.uk* Injury Indicators Overview [PPT – 52 KB]* Findings from discussions [PPT – 53 KB]Last Reviewed: November 6, 2015Source: National Center for Health Statistics* Syndicatehome Injury Data and Resources* NCHS Databases plus icon+ Mortality Data+ Hospital Inpatient Discharge Data+ Emergency Department Visit Data+ Health Interview Data+ Health and Nutrition Examination Data* Tools and Frameworks plus icon+ ICD Injury Matrices* Data Access and Resources plus icon+ National Trends in Injury Hospitalizations, 1979-2001+ Injury in the United States: 2007 Chartbook+ Related Injury Websites* ICE on Injury Statistics plus icon+ Steering Committee+ ICE Symposiums and Meetings+ ICE Projects+ Publications+ Injury IndicatorsRelated Sites* CDC Injury and Violence* National Center for Injury Prevention and Control* National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health* National Highway Traffic Safety Administration* U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission* About CDC* Contact Us* 800-232-4636Facebook Twitter Instagram LinkedIn Youtube Pinterest SnapchatFacebook Twitter Instagram LinkedIn Youtube Pinterest Snapchat RSS* CONTACT CDCContact UsCall 800-232-4636Email Us* ABOUT CDC+ About CDC+ Jobs+ Funding* POLICIES+ Accessibility+ External Links+ Privacy+ Policies+ Web Policies+ No Fear Act+ FOIA+ OIG+ No Fear Act+ Nondiscrimination+ Vulnerability Disclosure Policy+ CDC Archive+ Public Health Publications+ HHS.gov+ USA.gov* CONNECT WITH US+ Youtube+ Snapchat* LANGUAGES+ Español+ 繁體中文+ Tiếng Việt+ 한국어+ Tagalog+ Русский+ العربية+ Kreyòl Ayisyen+ Français+ Polski+ Português+ Italiano+ Deutsch+ 日本語+ فارسی+ English* U.S. Department of Health & Human Services* Accessibility* External Links* Privacy* Policies* Web Policies* FOIA* OIG* No Fear Act* FOIA* Nondiscrimination* OIG* Vulnerability Disclosure Policy* CDC Archive* Public Health Publications* HHS.gov* USA.govContent Credential×This image was edited or created using GenAI (generative artificial intelligence). Our experts review all images in an effort to ensure accuracy and quality before use.Learn more about CDC's usage of GenAI.
